Betty Kay (Arnold) Easterling of Knoxville passed away at her home on Sunday, April 25, 2021, age 63, under the care of UT Hospice.
Betty was born November 19, 1957, at Bunker Hill Air Force Base in Peru, Indiana to Msgt Kyle Franklin Arnold (dec.), retired U.S. Air Force, and Esta Friar Arnold. She studied accounting and finance at the University of Tennessee where she met her devoted husband of 44 years, Major David Lawton Easterling, U.S. Army (ret.). She was also the mother of Christopher Kevin Easterling, U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Betty is preceded in death by her father, Kyle F. Arnold. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 44 years, David; mother, Esta Friar Arnold; son Christopher; granddaughter Beth Noon of Hendersonville, NC; older brothers Alan and Glenn Arnold of Knoxville, TN; younger sister Connie Hunter (Steve, husband) of Ten Mile, TN; niece Kyla Howell (Sam, husband) of Ft. Lewis, WA; and nephew Ryan Cox of Knoxville, TN.
Receiving of friends will be on Monday, May 10,2021 from 5:00-6:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the service to follow at 6:30 pm with Rev. John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 12:30 pm committal service officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Arnold, Glenn Arnold, Ryan Cox, Johnny Arnold, Eric Arnold, Arie Cummings, Bill Easterling, and Brad Wolfenbarger.
