Betty Jo Huffman

Betty Jo Huffman, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain City and a former employee of St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was a Southern Gospel music singer for 55 years. She was preceded in death by parents Rev. J.E. Hale and Jessie Hale, sisters Rubyl Johnson husband Kenneth, Helen Stooksbury and husband James, Audrey Carter, Norma Stooksbury, and Mary Hale. Survivors include husband Lawrence Huffman, son Greg Huffman and wife Angie, daughter Lori Garland, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Davis Carter and Roscoe Stooksbury, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Donnie Wadley officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
