Betty Jean Stair

Betty Renfro “Our Mam” Stair, went home to be with her Lord and Savior around 8:30 am, Monday, October 15, 2012 at the age of 82. Mrs. Stair was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 30, 1930. Betty was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She had been a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church for 53 years. Betty was a book keeper for over 30 years. She was a member of Areme Chapter #466 Order of Eastern Star. Preceeded in death by, Loving husband of 59 years, McKindrey Lee Stair, parents, Robert and Margaret Renfro, step-mother, Ethel Renfro, brother, Clifford Ray Renfro, Sr. Survivors, sons and daughters-in-law, Conard and Jina Stair, Bobby and Sherry Stair, grandchildren, Julie Newman and husband, Bart, and Joey Stair, great grandchildren, Bryson, Raelie and Paris Newman as well as one nephew, several cousins and many friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Tennova Residential Hospice in Halls for their excellent care. Service 8 pm Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church, Dr. Bruce Marston and Rev. Charla Sherbakoff officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to be made to Christ United Methodist Church 7535 Maynardville Pike Knoxville, TN 37938 for Frog Sunday School Class Benovlence Fund.
