Betty Jean Norman

Betty McGinnis Norman, age 71, of Powell, passed away August 8, 2012. Member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. Retired from TVA Credit Union after 25 years service. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and favorite aunt. Preceded in death by parents, James & Florence McGinnis. Brother, Jay McGinnis. Sister, Ethel Haga and grandson, Brandon Childress. Survived by loving husband of 55 years, Robert Norman. Children: Robin Norman (Clif Scott) and Wayne Norman Jr. Granddaughter, Cheyann Norman. Brother, Alfred (Mary) McGinnis. Sisters, Iva Hammontree and Judy Kerr and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 PM Saturday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. Brother Steve Ross and Rev. Roy Gose officiating. Family & friends will meet at 1:45 PM Sunday at Bells Campground Cemetery for interment at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Interfaith Ministries or Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
