Betty H. Johnson, went to be with her lord on October 6, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Member of Mullins Chapel Baptist Church, Dandridge. She and her husband, Arlie fostered more than 30 children prior to her retirement in 1990. Preceded in death by her parents; Earnest and Claudia Holloway,Brothers; Bob and Clyde Holloway, Grand-daughters; Whittney Danae Roberts, foster grand-daughter; Brittany Sherwood and unborn son, Zeke Sherwood, Foster son-in-law; Micheal Owens. Survivors include, Arlie Vernon Johnson Sr., husband of 52 years. Daughter; Tina Johnson Roberts (Tony), Son; Carroll Johnson (Linda), Lee “ Vernon” Johnson, foster daughters; Robin Owens, Pamela Hurst (Donald), Judy Sherwood (Tim) Foster Grandchildren; Mariah, Faylien Sherwood, Misty and Dale Hurst, Jeffery Sherwood, Foster Great Grandchildren; Justice and Bella Newberry, Damien Sherwood Grandchildren; Josh Roberts, Jessica, Elaina, and Destiny Johnson. Great-grandchildren; Madison and Jackson Roberts, many special friends and extended foster family members. Funeral service 8pm Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Chaplain Glen Bradley officiating. Friends and family meet at 10:45am at Greenwood Cemetery for interment. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
