Betty Thurman Shipe age 90, of Halls passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. Born in Knox County to David and Anna Mae Booker in 1928. Owner and operator of Cameo Hair Salon for 30 years. Member of Central Baptist Church of Ft. City. Preceded in death by husband: Thomas Shipe, mother and step father: Anna and Frank Crudgington. Father: David Booker; Brothers: Herbert and Richard (Dick) Booker. Survivors: Step Daughter Joan Don of Albany, Ga. Niece: Diana Messercola and her daughter Josie of Mt Jackson, Va. Brother in law: Joe Shipe of Oliver Springs, Tn. Cousins: Rosemary Presley, Marian Lemesh of Knoxville. Best friends: Gail Willis, Evelyn and Bruce Drinnen of Knoxville. Larrain Harp of Columbia, SC. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeff Stevens for all the years of taking care of her.
