Bethel Hipshire Wright

Bethel Hipshire Wright, age 93, passed away November 9, 2013. She was born January 1, 1920 and spent her childhood in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Member of First Baptist Church of Fountain City. After many years as a homemaker and small business partner with her husband, she began a late career as a quality inspector and retirees coordinator for Levi Strauss & Co. Preceded in death by husband, George E. Wright; sister, Lita Bee Hopper; brothers, Kenneth Hipshire and Voyd Hipshire; two infant great-grandchildren; and many life-long friends. Survived by sons, Jimmy, Doug, Mike and Tommy Wright; daughter-in-law, Barbara Wright; sisters, Jean Schneider Gray and Bernell Hipshire Cope; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 11:15am Tuesday at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, for 11:30am graveside service. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
