Bessie Almalee Roberts

Bessie Almalee Roberts, age 87, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by parents, James E. and Eugenia McMahan, sisters, Louise “Tootie” McMahan, Mildred Compton, Della McMahan, Juanita Koontz Wagner, brother, Troy C. McMahan, and son-in-law, Bill Robbins. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Roberts, daughters, Donna Robbins, Sharon Russell, and husband Curt, and Kelly Hendrickson, grandchildren, Rodney Williams, Jarrod and Clint Russell, Jeralyn and Drew Hendrickson, great-grandchildren, Austin, Peyton, and Eli Williams, Colt Russell, and Chance Lowery, brother, Dewey McMahan, and wife Mary, sister, Charlotte White, and husband Tom, sister-in-law Sheila McMahan, and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at 10:45 am for an 11:00 am graveside service.
