Beecher Leroy Pettiford

Pettiford, Beecher Leroy “Dude” age 85, of Heiskell, passed away February 15, 2018. He was an Army veteran, retired welder and talented woodworker. He met his beloved wife Pauline while stationed in England during his Army service. They married on May 7, 1955 and had 57 wonderful years together until her passing on March 5, 2013. Now they are together again. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Janie Pettiford; daughter and son-in-law Debra and Randy Hiles; grandchildren Cristy, Nigel, Michael, Tanner, Cassie and Casey; great grandchildren Tyler, Dustin, Brandie, Hailey, Melody, Caroline, Amelia and Grant. Service 2 p.m. Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Claxton Volunteer Fire Department.
