Barbara Jean Smith-Moore

Barbara Jean Smith Moore, age 87, of Knoxville, TN went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:12pm. Barbara spent most of her life as a caregiver and worked as a seamstress. Barbara was of Baptist faith and a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Jay C. Moore of Alabama; parents, Carl & Pearl Webb; brother, Buddy Webb; sister, Clara Ruth Wiles; and nephew, Mike Wiles. She is survived by sons, Larry (Vickie) Smith, Darrell (Becky) Smith and Russ (Valinda) Moore; brother, Leroy (Betty) Webb; grandchildren, Cory (Ashley) Smith, Brenna (John) Watterson; great grandchildren Rowan and McKinley (Mac) Smith; nieces and nephews, Rita Wiles, Robin Webb, Debbie Webb, Darrell Samples; great nephews, Brandon Wiles, Daniel Wiles; cousins Ann Lawson, Don Lawson. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Highland South Cemetery for a 1:00 pm service with Rev. Larry Woods officiating.
