Barbara Janice Smith

Janice Smith, age 76, of Claxton, passed away October 31, 2013. She retired from Y-12 after 17 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Heiskel. She vigorously loved life. Preceded in death by infant son, Russell Wayne; father, Enoch Fowler; brother, Richard Fowler. Survived by loving husband of 57 years, Bill Smith; daughters, Robin Smith Webb and husband, Tim, and Linda Lou Smith; grandchildren, Christopher Brandon, Kristin Christopher and husband, Anthony, Kyla Lewis and husband, Kevin, Magen Smith-Bidwell and husband, Dallas, William Andrew Smith and Morgan Lee Smith; great-grandchildren, Victoria Rose Lewis, Kadence Christopher, and Emily Lewis; and a host of other family; special friends, Hylda Glandon, Joyce “Shakey” Griffin, and Nancy Humbard. Funeral service 4pm Sunday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Herman Davis officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:15pm Monday and proceed to Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery for interment service.
