Barbara Breeden Jett, age 83, of the Halls community died Sunday, April 10, 2022, following complications from a stroke.
She is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Ruby Arnold Breeden; husband, Don Jett; son, Randy Jett; and sisters, Sue Hensley and Lynn Breeden.
She is survived by daughter, Donna Bartkiewicz (Tom) of Warrenton, VA; son, Mark Jett (Donna) of Powell; granddaughters, Hannah Bartkiewicz of Virginia Beach, VA, and Sarah Jett of Powell; brother, Gene Breeden of Powell; sister, Kathy Breeden of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Lorene Seymour (Wayland) of Florida; and nephew, Tom Hensley of Knoxville.
Barbara was a graduate of Halls High School (Salutatorian, Class of 1956) and Knoxville Business College. She retired from Miller’s Department Store. She will be lovingly remembered for the extraordinary care she provided for her son Randy. She enjoyed travel, especially cruises and trips to the western U.S., and reading.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10:00am at the McHaffie-Jett Cemetery, Hankins Lane.
