Barbara Rose Atkins, beloved mother to two children, passed away March 11, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Knoxville, TN in 1944 to Roscoe Kelly Atchley and Beatrice Rutherford Atchley. Later in life, she enjoyed singing in the choir at UBC and being active in the community. Barbara was thoughtful, giving, and loved those around her with all her heart. Proceeded in Death by: Parents: Roscoe Kelly and Beatrice Rutherford Atchley Siblings: Bill Atchley, Mark Atchley, Jerry Harrell, Alice Liford, and Dottie Hendricks Husband: Floyd Lee Atkins Son-in-Law: Rodney Lee King Survived by: Children: Robbin R. King (Rodney King), Floyd W. Atkins (Robin Atkins) Grandchildren: Jessica B. Hogle (Austin Hogle), Bryson Atkins, and Aaron Atkins (Anna Atkins) Sister-in-Law: Barbara Flaubert and Pamela Shipe. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery at 6701 Washington Pike 37918, for an 11:00am graveside service, Rev. Craig Cummings officiating.
