Barbara Annette Pelfrey

Barbara Annette Pelfrey, age 72 of Powell, went to be with our heavenly Father August 29, 2012. Born May 28, 1941 in North Carolina. Resident of Claxton, TN. Attended Andersonville Baptist Church. She loved quilting, crafts, flowers, flea marketing, and fishing. Preceded in death by husband Harold Gene Pelfrey; parents Roy and Lillie Proffitt; brothers Ronnie, Buddy, and Tommy Proffitt; mother-in-law Maggie Pelfrey. Survived by daughters Debra Smith of New Tazewell; Kathy Hogan and husband Larry of Claxton; sons Darrell Pelfrey and wife Charlene of Union County, Todd Pelfrey and wife Tammy; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home and proceed to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for 11:00 am interment.
