Audra Kay Wampler, age 29, of Powell, went to be with the Lord suddenly, Monday, January 9, 2017. Audra was an amazing and loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She was the self-proclaimed Mayor of Powell. (She would have gotten the vote, too!) Audra had a way with brightening people’s days. She had a love for life and a love for people, and that was evident in the way she lived. Audra’s laughter was contagious. It was impossible to be in a bad mood when she was around. Her most awarded role was that of being Aunt to her mini-me, Madison and her selfie partner, Mason, both of whom she loved with all her heart. She loved “her kids” at Karns High School and her Beach Bums family. Her heart for her Savior, her family, her church, and her friends will never be forgotten. Audra will be missed every moment of every day, but we will cling to the promise that we will see her again. She would want you to take comfort in her favorite Bible verse, John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Audra is preceded in death by her father, Oliver “Ollie” Wampler; grandparents, JB and Reba Wampler; and grandfather, Looney “Pete” Wells. She is survived by her loving mother, Joan Wampler; sister and brother-in-law, Autumn and Eric Northern; niece and nephew, Madison and Mason Northern; brother, Josh Wampler; grandmother, Ruby Sayne; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dante Baptist Church Building fund. Serving as pallbearers: Logan Wampler, Andy Wampler, Jason Pollard, Bill Zimmerman, Tyler Green, and Niles Zimmerman. Family and friends will meet 10:00 am Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for 11:00 am interment. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
