Aree Carole Johnson

Aree Carole Johnson, age 63, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden where she gave 30+ years of service. Carole was a loving wife, mother, and Grammy, as well as, a very nurturing woman to all the people around her. She loved making memories on family trips to the beach. She is preceded in death by father Norman F. Gardner Sr. and brother Norman F. Gardner Jr. Survived by loving husband of 45 years Robert K. Johnson, children; Jennifer Johnson, Jessica (Buddy) Carmichael, Jill Leftwich, and Josh (Kat) Johnson, grandchildren; Cody, Cayden, and Caleb Leftwich; mother Juanita Gardner, sister Lisa Noojin, brother Homer Gardner, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Carole will be sorely missed by so many. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Central Baptist Church of Bearden (6300 Deane Hill Drive). A service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Moreland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel for a procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
