Anna Marie Haynes McFalls - age 86 of Knoxville, TN passed away on December 26, 2023 surrounded by her family while listening to Amazing Grace. She was a positive person who always looked on the bright side of life and never met a stranger. She was a dedicated sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who instilled strong values in her family and will live on in each of us. She was a retired daycare director and loving nanny. She was a huge Vols fan and known for her "Special Cheers". Special thanks to caregiver Missy Jenkins, who became family along the way.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Haynes and Lena Schmidt. Husband of 54 years, Ronald McFalls, and her second husband Johnny Eaton. Brothers Jack and Jerry Haynes, sister Jean Valentine. She is survived by sister Judy (Kyle) Capps, half sister Margaret Love, four children: Ronda (Larry) Hoffmeister, Joy (Randy) Witt, Kim (Chip) Hawkins, Brian (Leslie) McFalls. She was blessed to be Mamaw to seven grandchildren: Samuel Witt, Dane Hoffmeister, Sarah Hawkins, Miranda Witt, Emily Baye, Brodie McFalls and Jacob Hawkins and Grammy to great grandchildren Olive and Hudson Baye and Tillman Witherspoon. Ann always said she wanted everyone to wear red, her happy color, to her funeral. She considered a funeral to be a celebration. Please do so if you can.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 11:00AM-1:00PM with a service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Larry Ogle and Dwight Allen officiating. On Sunday, December 31, 2023 friends and family will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel at 12:30PM to go in procession to Pleasant View Cemetery for a 2:00PM interment in Maynardville, TN.
