It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Anna Brucelee (Taylor) Lindsey. She will be missed for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and loving ways. She was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Ann was born on February 25, 1928, to Lon and Daisy Taylor of Corryton, Tennessee. She was married to Johnny W. Lindsey and raised six loving children. She was dedicated to her family in all aspects of their lives.
Ann owned and ran the Tackle Box Restaurant with her daughter Terry for many years. She was a fixture on Asheville Hwy while sitting at the counter at the restaurant welcoming everyone that came through the doors, her work ethic and devotion to family were impressive qualities she possessed.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Lon and daisy Taylor, brother s Edgar, Luther, Harry, and Olen Taylor; sisters Stella Stinnett, Elva Jordan and Geneva Collins; her ex-husband Johnny Lindsey, daughter Teresa Anderson, granddaughter Shauna Lindsey and grandson Carson Maxey.
She is survived by sister Helen Collins, her children Gary (Vickie) Hobby, Timothy Anderson, Sandra (Grady) Madgett, Phillip (Jamie) Lindsey, Tim (Connie) Lindsey, and Billy Lindsey.
Ann had fifteen grandchildren- Shannon Raney, Shawn hobby, Steven Wells, Shaun Wells, Shane Hobby, Randy Anderson, Joseph (Brandy) Anderson, Andrew (Ashley) Madgett, Ashley (Alan) McFalls, Kendra Lindsey, Jonathan (Erica) Lindsey, Ashley Lindsey, and Justin Black. Ann had twenty-six great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren
The Family would like to thank Avalon Hospice for all their care and kindness during this difficult time. Thank you to Tammy Murphy for all the care and comfort she provided to Ann and the family. Ann was in good hands while under your care.
Pallbearers are to be Randy Anderson, Joe Anderson, Jonathan Lindsey, Shaun Hobby, Shawn Wells, Shane Hobby, Steven Wells, Justin Black, and Andrew Madgett.
Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home at the Fountain City Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. The service will be officiated by Reverend Keith Buckner and Reverend Mark Kitts. The family will the process to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 3:00pm interment.
