Angela "Angie" Marie Whitley age 53 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Parkwest Medical Center unexpectedly after a long battle with heart disease. Member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Angie loved doing crafts, quilting, going to the beach, reading her bible, her bible study class and spending time with her granddaughter. Special thanks to Allison Kemp who was Angie's caregiver during her heart transplant at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Preceded in death by father, Coy Whitley and grandmother, Earline Lyons. Survivors; daughter, Lauren (Parker Smithson) Moody; son, Logan Moody; granddaughter, Ava Ridenour; mother and dad; Kathy and Randy Boggs; sister, Heather McFarland (Todd Pesterfield); special friend, Gary Ray; special aunt, Carol Luzader; nephews, Braden and Jacob Carroll, Nathan and Tyler Bennett; cousins, Michael (Allison) Kemp, Jason (Ashley) Kemp and Robbie (Melissa) Kemp; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 3:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Bobby Province officiating.
