Andrew Marshall Thomas, born July 4, 1928, of Fountain City, Tennessee, passed peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2, 2024. He valiantly served his country during World War II in Japan as a part of the 19th Infantry Regiment. He devoted 37 years of his life to the Southern Railway as a Carman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Maude Thomas, and their son, Robert Henry Thomas. He is survived by son, Andrew Nolan Thomas, grandchildren, Scott Thomas, Andy Thomas, and Rachel Ganues, along with 8 special great grandchildren.   Family and friends will meet 2:45 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service, Scott Thomas and Rev. Charles Whitson officiating.  Full military honors will be presented by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
