Alton Wayne Crawley, a devoted man of God, stepped into the loving arms of Jesus as he passed peacefully at his home on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the age of 69.
Wayne was born on January 16, 1955 to the late Alton and Betty (Ryan) Crawley.
He worked for the Flowers Baking Company for more than 30 years, and even ran his own bakery thrift store for a short while. He loved to fish, hunt, and especially share his passion of camping with his grandkids. Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and member of Walridge Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Gail (Myers) Crawley; daughters Tina Maddox and Melanie Baker; grandchildren: Christopher Williams, Ivy Maddox, Genesis Maddox, Haley Hughes (partner Chris Mapes), Gage McClain, and Aiden Baker; great-grandson Detroit Mapes; sister Patricia Ryan-Kissam (Roddy), as well as several extended family members.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Betty.
A memorial service will be held at Walridge Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7pm. Friends may gather at the church starting at 5pm until the start of the service to visit with the family. Please visit www.mynattfh.com to leave messages of condolence.
