Allen Joseph Burke

Allen Joseph Burke, age 64, of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ann Marie Burke. Allen was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from R & L Carriers as a dispatcher. He will be greatly missed by his wife of almost 22 years Thea Kleynhans Burke; daughter Michelle Burke; step-children Mariaan Van Wyk (Ettiene), Chris Hendrikz (Vildana), and William Hendrikz (Brooke) and five grandchildren; brother Bill Burke (Luz); sister Barbara Montgomery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the funeral to follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Patrick Polis officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:00 am on Tuesday December 7th at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel for a procession to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery- John Sevier for a 10:00 am service with full military honors provided by Tri-County Volunteer Honor Guard.
