Alice Marie Mynatt

Marie Mynatt, age 89 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on July 7, 2018. She was a resident of Fountain City for 66 years. She was a charter member of Loveland Baptist Church for 74 years and a current member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. Marie retired from Church Street Methodist Church as a church hostess after 17 years of service. She also worked for the Knox County School System for 12 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Preceded in death by husband Billy B. Mynatt; grandson Wesley Johnson; parents Roy A. Bowling Sr. and Mae Johnson Bowling; brothers Roy A. Bowling Jr., James Bowling, and Charles Bowling. Survived by children Randy (Linda) Mynatt, Elaine (David) Johnson, and Michael Mynatt; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Shirley) Bowling; special cousin Aileen Bales. Family will receive friends 12:00-2:00p.m. Saturday July 14, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow, Rev. Charlie Lynch officiating.
