Alice Katherine Herrell

Alice Katherine (Stansberry) Herrell born April 2, 1920, age 100, of Halls passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was a long time member of Highland View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William Ray Herrell; Sons, Rev. L.B. and J.P. Herrell; Father, William and mother, Lula Ann (Sweet) Stansberry; Brothers, J.B., Robert, Roy, and Johnny Stansberry; Sisters, Mattie Lee Harrell, Etta Lee Barker, Hazel Arnwine, and Nell Hopson. Survived by son, Hollis (Carol) Herrell, daughter-in-law, Diane Herrell; grandchildren, Tonya (Ken) Buckner, Becky Needham, Kenny (Barbi) Herrell, Vickie (Dwight) Killion, and Bill Herrell; Nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow officiated by Rev. Roy LaRue and Rev. Terry Walker. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Fort Sumter Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be Kenny, Bill, and Holden Herrell, Dwight and Daniel Killion, and Rev. Ken Buckner. Honorary Pallbearers: Samuel Killion and Cameron Buckner.
