Alice Fern Lester

Alice Fern Lester, age 92 of Knoxville, passed away January 7, 2013 at Beverly Park Place. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Walridge Baptist Church until her illness. Preceded in death by parents Horace and Rose Lester; sisters Evelyn Lester and Allba Lee Beeler Currington; brother Phillip Lester. She is survived by sister and special caregiver Winona Lester; sister Bernice Johnson; brother Paul (Evelyn) Lester; sister-in-law Emmerdelle Lester all of Knoxville and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff and caregivers on the 2nd floor at Beverly Park Place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral service 7:30 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. John Lewis officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Friday at Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for 2:00 pm interment. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7:30 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
