Alex “Sandu” Iusan On Monday, December 7, 2020, Alex Iusan suddenly passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Spring Hill, FL. He was born on September 1, 1945 in Aluniș, Romania to Joseph and Maria Iusan. He was one of twelve children. He is survived by his siblings: Virgil, Nita, Lena, and Ioan. Alex is survived by his wife of 49 years, Veronica, and their five children: Sonia, Rafael, Nicoleta, Timothy and Jonathan. He is survived by his eight grandchildren: Joshua, Luke, Dominic, Janessa, Isaiah, Jonah, Chloe, and Amalia. He was a member of Bethany Romanian Church of God in Knoxville, TN which he attended for 20 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, working on the house and cars, and having long and stimulating conversations. He will be remembered for his love of God and his sense of humor. Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, 2829 Rennoc Rd. Knoxville, TN, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM EST. The funeral service will be live streamed starting at 7:00 PM EST, available to watch at https://m.facebook.com/fountaincitylivestream/. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM EST burial on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Bookwalter Cemetery.
