Aileen Mize Haynes- age 96 passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehabilitation. Born October 30, 1917 in Union County, TN to the late Dan and Belle Ousley Mize, she married Howard Haynes in 1939 and moved to the Halls Community. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Haynes; brothers, Earnest, James, Thomas, Harry, and Minnis; sisters, Anne Henry, Nell Wallace, Ruby Mize and Minnie Chesney. Survived by nieces and caregivers, Martha Rose and husband Bill, Carol Bayless and husband Gene and several other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Margaret Moore (Earnest) and Ruth Haynes. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Beverly Park Place Main Floor for their love and care during the past four years and to her many friends for their faithful visits. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 7535 Maynardville Highway, Knoxville, TN 37938. The family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:30 pm Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and then proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for graveside services and interment at 2:00 pm. Rev. Dennie Humphreys, Rev. Charla Sherbakoff, and Dr. Bruce Marston officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Bayless, Bill Rose, Scott Moore, Danny Wallace, Wayne Mize, and John Drafts.
