Agnes Ellen Bruffett

Agnes Ellen (Young) Bruffett, 81 of Heiskell, TN, died on May 31, 2022 peacefully at home following a brief illness, surrounded by family and friends. Agnes was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on October 11, 1940, to Ed and Emma Schuler. After graduating Memorial High School in 1959, she left the family farm to attend beauty school in Lexington, KY. She devoted her life by using her gifts to serve, love , and minister to everyone she met. Agnes married Bobby Gene Young on November 4, 1961. Agnes is preceded in death by Bobby Young and her parents Ed and Emma Schuler. She was blessed to remarry Everett Bruffett on January 30, 2013. Agnes is survived by her daughter Celecia Groos (Phil), son Dwight Young (Stephanie), sister Bertha Bastin, brother Raymond Schuler, seven grandchildren Kaitlin Grear, Kelsie Staser, Josiah Young, Jesse Young, Charleston Martin, Maegan Mupesewa, and Sara Hobbs, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as, many nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. The family will also receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2022, 3:00-4:00pm at Mount Moriah Christian Church, 8545 KY Hwy 1247, Stanford, KY 40484, with service to follow. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
