Addie Beeler Kennedy, age 100, of Knoxville passed away at NHC Ft. Sanders on April 20, 2014. She was a lifetime member of Lonsdale Baptist Church and Acacia May 24 Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a strict, but loving mother. She was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She loved people and was always willing to help anyone. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Kennedy Sr., son John R. Kennedy Jr., grandchildren Melinda Justine Digby, Carl (Willie) Digby Jr., and Michael and Jeffrey Digby, great granddaughter Mandy Starnes, parents Kalep N. Beeler & Cora Loulily Wolfenbarger Beeler, sisters Flossie Taylor, Edith Cloud, Rushia Reagan, Louise McGhee, Justine Kelley, brothers Bourbon Beeler, Noah Beeler, Bill E. Beeler. She is survived by her daughters Una Faye Digby, Cora Frances Pate & husband Bill, Vera Kennedy Lewellyn, grandchildren Charles (Chuck) Pate, Billie Joe Pate, Kimberly Pate Stevenson and husband Gene, David Digby and wife Dot, John L. Kennedy, Craig Kennedy, Kandy Kennedy, Kristi Lewellyn-Rhea and husband Daniel, and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to the employees of NHC Ft. Sanders for their outstanding care. Funeral service will be 8 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. John Tommy Everett officiating, music by Jimmy (Jimbo) Duncan. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Thursday at Highland Memorial for 1pm interment. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
